"West Virginia History Hero" - "For her outstanding work and significant contributions to
the preservation and promotion of West Virginia history" This award was presented to
Virginia on Feb. 21st 2013 at our Capital by represenitives of both the West Virginia
Division of Culture and History and the West Virginia Archives and History Commision.
Additionally, Mrs. Ellis was also nominated and recognized as WSAZ News Channel 3's latest
"Hometown Hero"- "In recognition of outstanding community service". This award coming just
a month after receiving the "West Virginia History Hero" award presented by the State of
West Virginia. We are all very proud, your passion and devotion to History and Community
